The Institute of Aviation Studies at Srinivas University hosted Traditional Day, Parampara 2024, a Traditional Fashion Fiesta, on August 26, 2024, at the Hotel Srinivas Auditorium for the students of BBA and MBA Aviation Studies. The event was designed to foster understanding and appreciation of the diverse cultures and traditions represented by the students.The event commenced with a prayer and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, led by Dr. Pavithra Kumari, Dean of the Institute of Aviation Studies, accompanied by Ms. Anjana T.V., Head of the Department, and cultural coordinators Ms. Varshitha and Ms. Pratheeksha S. Shetty. Student council members Mr. Mohammed Suhan Saheb, Mr. Mithun, Ms. Diya O. R., and Mr. Abhishek Kini were also in attendance.Dr. Pavithra Kumari, Dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, awarded prizes to the winners of various cultural and management forum competitions held earlier. The event also included a range of engaging games for students and concluded with a traditional ramp walk, which was a competition featuring participants from each class. Students proudly showcased their traditional attire, representing their respective cultural backgrounds and classes. Each student's outfit was a vibrant reflection of their heritage, highlighting a rich array of colors, styles, and traditions. The winners of the Parampara Traditional ramp walk was III Year BBA (Aviation Management) who dazzled in a variety of traditional costumes representing different states of India. Their outfits highlighted the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the country, showcasing elaborate and vibrant costumes from various regions. The best costume was also awarded as Traditional King and Tradition Queen from each class.Parampara 2024 was a resounding success, bringing together students to celebrate and embrace the rich cultural diversity within the Institute of Aviation Studies. The event not only highlighted the traditional attire and customs from different regions of India but also fostered a deeper appreciation for each other's heritage.
