Introduction:
M.Sc Respiratory Care Technology is a course designed to provide in depth knowledge about initiation and weaning of mechanical ventilation, for initial set up of conventional ventilators and non invasive including calibration and trouble shooting of adult, paediatric and neonates. They can also perform Clinical assessment of patients with cardio respiratory disorders, pulmonary function tests, diffusion lung capacity test.
The course is designed as a full time residency program with responsibilities in managing the patients. The Post graduate student must take part in seminars, short topic discussions, case discussions, journal club presentations and clinical postings. The Academic training also includes lab work, experimental work and Dissertation.
