The Annual Athletic Meet of Srinivas University is one of the most eagerly awaited events of the academic year, bringing together students, faculty, and staff in a celebration of athleticism, sportsmanship, and community spirit. This year’s event showcased the exceptional talent and determination of our student-athletes. The meet featured a wide range of competitions, including track and field events, relay races, and various athletic challenges.The event was formally inaugurated on 1st February, 2025, at Managala stadium, Mangaluru, with a grand opening ceremony that featured the University’s student teams parading around the track, with each participating college represented. Chief Guest of the event Justice Mallikarjuna Swamy H.S, honourable justice of the 1st Additional District and Sessions Judge, DK and Principal District and Sessions Judge I/C, Mangaluru, DK spoke in the ceremony who highlighted the importance of physical fitness and sports in the overall development of students. The ceremony was further graced by a torch relay, symbolizing the spirit of unity and competition.Institute of Physiotherapy students also took part in various track and field events winning medals in different categories such as 100 m, 200 m, 400m, 800m , 1500 m run men and women, 400 m relay men and women, jumps, shot put and discus throw. The Institute also had a crucial achievement by emerging as the overall champions of the meet for the year 2024-25.The Annual Athletic Meet of Srinivas University was a tremendous success, bringing together the university community for a day of fun, excitement, and competition. The event not only highlighted the athletic prowess of students but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and pride within the University.
