B. ED. (BACHELOR OF EDUCATION)

ELIGIBILITY

• A Candidate who has secured at least 50% marks in aggregate either in the Bachelor’s Degree / or in the Master’s Degree in Science/Social Science/ Humanity OR any degree shall be eligible for admission to the degree of Bachelor of Education. Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other Qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the B.Ed Degree.
• There shall be relaxation of 5% marks in favour of SC/ST/Category-1/Physically disabled candidates.
• Rules regarding admission, entrance examination, intake, eligibility, reservations, proportions for different subjects and related norms will be as laid down by the NCTE and the Government of Karnataka from time to time and notified by the University shall be followed.

ADMISSION PROCESS/CRITERIA:

• Government quota seats are filled up by the Central Admission Cell (CAC) of Karnataka Government through counselling.
• Common entrance examination notification will be given by the university. On the basis of the merit of the entrance examination the management seats are admitted

Documents Required:

• Originals of Marks card/certificate of the qualifying examination + Photocopy
• SSLC certificate for proof of date of birth + Photocopy
• Transfer certificate from the institution last attended original + Photocopy
• Migration Certificate – original (Non-Mangalore University students have to obtain Migration certificate from the respective University/ Board where they studied).
• Conduct certificate from the institution last attended original only.
• Physical fitness certificate from any Regd. Medical Practitioner – original only.
• Photographs – Passport size (8Nos.).

Foreign nationals selected for admission will have to comply with the following additional requirements:

• No-Objection Certificate from the Government of India.
• Student visa for the period of study at the institution.
• Valid Passport.
• Any other document that may be expedient as introduced by the authority.

(1) University Registration Fee, Eligibility Fee for other State/NRI students, Examination Fee, Uniform Fee, Hostel Fee, Industry visit fee, Internship fee, Transportation fee, Sports & games fee, Extra-curricular activity fee, etc., are extra. The course fees mentioned for subsequent years may vary annually up to 6%. (2) The University Placement & Training Team will assist the admitted students to get (a) Earn While Learn, (b) Industry Internship, and (c) Final Job Placement.
