M.Sc. IN PSYCHOLOGY AND COUNSELING PROGRAMME OF SRINIVAS UNIVERSITY :

M.Sc. in Psychology and Counseling is a 2-year postgraduate degree. The minimum eligibility to study the course is any Bachelor’s degree from any recognized University. The course is designed as such to provide students with a proper base for the practice of counseling. It mainly focuses on the psychological, mental health and human development principles. M.Sc. in Psychology and Counseling course provides the students with a sound training to be ethical, skilled, effective and culturally sensitive professionals. The duration of the course is two years. Communication skills and language proficiency are part of the curriculum apart from seminars and group presentations. Basic computer skills are taught and evaluated. Issues on Development and Sustenance as an innovative subject are included in the curriculum. Project and programme organizing abilities are developed to fit in with suitability for wider variety of jobs. Successful postgraduates of the course can work in various job profiles such as Counselor, Psychologist-Education Management, Elder Care Specialist, Teacher, Lecturer, Career Guide, and Career Counselor
